Noah is 5!

A whole hand old?! That is what we keep saying - it is so strange that he is that old. That I am old enough to have a 5 year old, that I have been a mom for 5 years. It is all just weird. But, at the same time, it is all so right. I will never forget Noah's speedy delivery (here is a reminder if you want one).  We prayed and prayed for Noah and our prayers were answered big time!

Noah is such a great kid. He is seriously so sweet. He is constantly telling me how much he loves me (even in the middle of a t-ball game). He is always worried about others and wants everyone to be included. He is very smart - especially about dinosaurs and animals. He loves playing outside and is just fine playing alone. His new obsessions are Legos, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, and Batman. Noah also loves riding roller coasters and is finally learning to ride a bike (we have no good yard for that). There are a few things Noah does not like - such as naps (or sleeping in general) or when his Legos fall apart.

Noah's favorite foods are popcorn chicken, meat sticks, green beans, ramen noodles, rice, refried beans, and pizza. He only drinks water, apple juice or milk. He is pretty big for his age - 46" tall and 44 pounds. He is on track to be 6'3" as an adult.

We are not able to have Noah's birthday party for a month, so I decided to celebrate Noah all week long for his birthday! So Monday we went to a Japanese restaurant and ate at the Hibachi Grill. We love watching them cook. They sang to Noah in Japanese and brought him a cupcake with a sparkler in it :)

Tuesday we went to a Mexican restaurant for some of Noah's favorite food - rice, beans, and cheese dip! They sand him happy birthday in Spanish and let him wear a sombrero. We then went to Walmart and shopped for a present with his Granny :)

Granny got him a new big boy bike :)

We always eat at Noah's Meme and Papaws house on Wednesdays so we brought a cookie cake over to celebrate with them. He wanted a Power Ranger/Jurassic Park cake, so that is what he got. He also got to open his gifts from his grandparents and Uncle Brandon, Aunt Whitney and cousin Paxton. He got a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle beach towel from his grandparents and a special heirloom gift - he got his Dad's old Ninja Turtle :) He got the cutest red Keens from his Aunt Whitney, Uncle Brandon and Paxton - red for his school colors for kindergarten next year - he will be a cute little Panther :)

He got to inherit the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle his Dad used to play with as a child :)

Thursday was finally his actual birthday! I woke Noah up extra early so he could open his presents from me, Nathan, and Ryan and play with them some before he had to go to daycare. Then I took off early and we went to Toys R Us because he wanted to pick a gift out for himself and to Chuck E. Cheese :) My dad and niece Alex joined us. There was hardly anyone at either place - it was perfect!

Good Morning 5 year old!

Gifts from Momma, Daddy, and Ryan :)

He was so excited to get his Power Ranger set :)

Noah racked up at Toys R Us!
Where a kid can be a kid :)

Noah wanted his party at the movie theater but no kids were showing until a month after his birthday so we asked him if he wanted to wait and he did. So, we will party now with just us and party later with friends and family :)

Happy 5th Birthday Noah! We are so glad you are in our lives!
